Mauriello Planning Group has worked on a wide variety of projects, ranging from ultra-high end residential condominiums to small single-family homes. We also have extensive experience working on affordable and employee housing projects. One of the most unique and challenging employee housing projects was First Chair in Lionshead.
Working with Vail Resorts, MPG provided entitlement services for the employee housing project. First Chair was a fulfillment of an employee housing obligation for the Arrabelle at Vail Square. The project included a total of 32 deed-restricted employee housing units with a total of 124 beds, located on a former parking lot owned by Vail Resorts. The property was located in the heart of Lionshead Village, which was experiencing a new dawn of redevelopment projects, spurred on by the Town of Vail’s adoption of the Lionshead Redevelopment Master Plan. Due to its location and proximity to multi-million dollar condominiums, the employee housing project needed to blend in seamlessly with the redevelopment occurring adjacent to it. Working with Oz Architecture, Vail Resorts completed the 124-bed employee housing project in Lionshead and christened the project First Chair in the spring of 2011.
